Chair Yoga Shalom ZOOM Classes

Sponsored by Jewish Synergy of Temple Shalom Central Florida
4-5pm Mondays – August 3, 10, 17, and 31th

A meaningful yoga practice for everyone that is a spiritual and physical journey done while seated in or with the aid of a chair.

Reserve your ZOOM space now! Email jewishsynergy@tscfl.org for the link.

Meaningful Yoga will help improve balance, flexibility, strength, body/breath awareness, reduce stress and improve mental clarity. Perfect for beginners or seasoned yogis who want a softer nurturing practice. Our practice will be guided by Allison Teisch with a sequence of traditional Hebrew prayers. It will be a worship service of mind, body and spirit.

No experience necessary! You will need a chair without arms, a yoga mat to place chair upon to prevent chair from slipping or be sure to place chair on a non-slip surface. A yoga strap is helpful...in place of a strap you can use a belt, a long tie or scarf.

Allison’s Yoga Goals and Philosophy

I have practiced yoga for over thirty years and it has helped me find balance in life as a wife, mother, grandmother, musician and Cantor. (Retired as a Cantor in 2018). My yoga classes combine a creative and flowing sequence of poses including Pranayama (breath work) and meditation. I believe in the “he-ART” of Hatha and pay close attention to the alignment and safety of each student.
